A man was taken to jail after he carved his name into a BSO's patrol car.
Yup! That happened.
Enderlin Leonce, was arrested and booked on a criminal mischief charge, after a witness reported seeing him vandalizing the patrol car before running away. When, the officer came back to the car, they noticed he used a metal tool to etch "the name is Enderlin Leonce" on the hood of the patrol vehicle. The officer, then checked the name and met with Leonce at his home, where Leonce said "I did it. I committed a crime and I should be going to jail."
Leonce told the officer,
"I was revolting because he wouldn't take me back to Haiti" and that the officer should "take me to the officer's house so I can tell him I did it."
Due to his mental state, Leonce was taken to a hospital for examination. He was later released and taken into custody.
The damage to the car is $1,000 in repair costs.
