Actor, celebrity boxer, and Sweathog Ron 'Arnold Horshack' Palillo died today at age 63. Palillo is best known for Welcome Back Kotter, but he was also involved in one of the queasiest moments in television history, when in 2002 he attempted to box Saved By The Bell's Screech (the 17-years-younger Dustin Diamond) for FOX's brand new show Celebrity Boxing:
Celebrity Boxing was one of those rare moments where TV audiences said 'You know what? That's a little TOO trashy, thanks.' It was a legendary bomb. But legendary bombs are still legends, and that's what Ron Palillo was. RIP.
