Words.  Everyone uses them, but we spend too little time honoring them with awards.  But not the folks at the Oxford American Dictionary, who have named their WORD OF THE YEAR: GIF.

Yes, GIF is the Word Of The Year, and I understand why.  Animated .gif files have been around for a long time, but they REALLY took over as a constant in 2012.  Let's celebrate in the traditional fashion - WITH GIFS!!!
