Two California teenagers were so obsessed with Facebook that they spiked the milkshakes of one of the girl's parents with sleeping pills so they could get on the Internet after their curfew, police say.
The plot worked, but the parents became suspicious the following morning when they woke up groggy. They got a drug kit from police and tested the shakes for tampering. When the tests were positive, they went to police, who arrested the couple's 15-year-old daughter and 16-year-old friend.
Child therapist Leslie Whitten Baughman said while it's normal for teens to rebel, drugging parents "would not be a healthy level of rebellion."
