UltimateClassicRock.com has put together a list of the Top 10 Cowbell Songs . . . and theROLLING STONES song "Honky Tonk Women" came out on top.

BLUE OYSTER CULT'S "Don't Fear the Reaper" only came in third.  That's interesting since it's the song that WILL FERRELL and "Saturday Night Live" used to launch the "more cowbell" phenomenon back in 2000.

1.)  "Honky Tonk Women",  The Rolling Stones  (1969)

2.)  "We're an American Band",  Grand Funk Railroad  (1973)

3.)  "Don't Fear the Reaper",  Blue Oyster Cult  (1976)

4.)  "Hair of the Dog",  Nazareth  (1975)

5.)  "Low Rider",  War  (1975)

6.)  "Stone Free",  Jimi Hendrix  (1966)

7.)  "Fool for the City",  Foghat  (1975)

8.)  "Born on the Bayou",  Creedence Clearwater Revival  (1969)

9.)  "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo",  Rick Derringer  (1970)

10.)  "Moby Dick",  Led Zeppelin  (1969)

So what songs are missing from this list?  Well, there's MOUNTAIN'S "Mississippi Queen".  It came out in 1970, so it's still even in the eight-year window.  There's also "Time Has Come Today" by THE CHAMBER BROTHERS. What else? Comment below.
