Another terrific weekend ahead of us as we dive “officially” into summer. We know Glenn is heading to the RUSH concert on Friday -- What are you doing this weekend? Here are my top picks:
Roundtop Mountain Resort is hosting a Summer Solstice Celebration on Friday to ring in the season. This family friendly event runs from 5-9 p.m. with special pricing on Mountain Adventures (OGO balls, Alpine Traverse, Cedar Maze & more) for just $20 (spectators are free).
They’ll have live music from Tuckahoe Ridge on the deck, plus food and drink specials. At dusk, enjoy fireworks on the mountain.
The AACA Museum celebrates its 10th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Car Show in Hershey on Saturday! What that means is a whole host of car-related fun for the whole family.
Events include the annual Museum Car Show, Valve Cover Racing, Antique Car Rides, Race car wheel changing contest, VIP barbecue tent, music from Yesterday Vibe band, behind-the-scenes tours and much more.
A VIP Barbecue runs from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. $12 for Adults and $7 for Children 4-12 years of age.
If by Sunday night you need to cool off, I have two suggestions:
1. Head downtown for Sunday Night at the Movies at the Downtown Gingerbread Man. This Sunday, they’re screening Tropic Thunder. Includes free popcorn, plus “Box Office Bombs” for $5. Going on every Sunday this summer.
2. If raucous comedy isn’t your speed, perhaps you’d prefer Show Tunes Sunday at Carley’s Piano Bar. Listen to local vocalists sing along to live piano renditions of your favorite Broadway showtunes.
